STEVE PORTER FOR CONGRESS

Steve Porter is running for US Congress in Pennsylvania's 3d District. He is a lifelong Democrat and was active in the 1968 Presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy. Steve has doctorates in Fine Arts and Education Administration, and has spent the last 20 years as a public school administrator and college professor in Binghampton, NY and in Erie . He is a prolific writer and composer, the author of 17 books, with over 125 works to his credit. He has also won two Grammy Awards!
Steve does not and will not accept money or gifts from either PACs or lobbies, and he will fight for public election funding. He supports HR 676, the Physicians National Health Care plan, which would provide universal health care through a single payer system. He will protect social security and pensions, and will work to revitalize manufacturing in Pennsylvania. He believes we should plan now for natural disasters, and keep our National Guard at home. He will never support ill-conceived and badly managed foreign wars. Steve believes in stiff tariffs for currency manipulation, tax breaks for buying American, not for companies who outsource jobs. And he will fight against trade agreements that cost Pennsylvania jobs.
Let's send our first Grammy award-winner to Congress. If you're anywhere near the 3d district, which includes Erie, most of Crawford, Mercer and Butler, and much of Warren and Armstrong, please volunteer for Steve's campaign here: http://www.porter4congress2006.com/help.html
